This Privacy Policy explains how XcelUP ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website, mobile apps, and related services (the "Services"). XcelUP is an early-stage product, and we keep our data practices deliberately simple. By using the Services, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and profile picture, including what you authorize us to receive when you sign in with Google, Microsoft, Apple, LinkedIn, or your organization's single sign-on.
• Learning activity — your learning paths, progress, quiz results, credentials, and your interactions with our AI assistant, Xeva (the questions and content you submit).
• Technical data — basic device, browser, and usage information, and cookies needed to keep you signed in and improve the Services.

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are handled by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and secure your account and the Services.
• Personalize your learning and power Xeva's tutoring and chat.
• Generate, translate, and narrate learning content.
• Communicate important updates and respond to your requests.
• Improve the Services and prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your learning data or Xeva conversations for advertising.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only with trusted service providers who help us run the Services (such as hosting, AI, email, analytics, and payments), with your organization if your account was provided by one, and where required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety. These providers may only use your data to perform services for us.

4. Data Security & Retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services and meet legal obligations, and delete or anonymize it when no longer needed.

5. Your Choices

• Access, update, or delete your account information, or request a copy of your data.
• Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link.
• Manage cookies through your browser settings.

6. Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as XcelUP grows. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last Updated" date, and notify you if the changes are significant.
